Welcome to Computer/Software Engineering Section
Software Engineering |
Computer engineering is a branch of engineering that incorporates other field such as electrical engineering and computer science to design and analyse computer hardware and software.
Typical applications of Computer engineering are:
- Computer engineers usually have the strong understanding in electronic engineering (or electrical engineering), software design, and hardware-software incorporation instead of only having knowledge of electronics and software engineering.
- Computer engineers work on both hardware and software aspects of a system, from the design of individual micro-controllers, microprocessors, to circuit design.
- This field of engineering deals with how computer systems integrate and make large systems.
- The functions of computer engineering are, writing software and firmware for embedded microcontrollers, and writing operation systems.
- Computer engineers give their best in the fields of robotics (Mechatronics) research, which includes monitoring electrical (Electromechanical) systems like motors, communications, and sensors, by incorporating digital systems.
- Basic computer engineering courses are necessary for mechatronics engineers to well succeed in their field.
- A system without having computer engineering with it is not a mechatronics system, it is just a mechanical or semi automatic system.
- Robotics engineering is incomplete without computer systems interfaced with it.
